Engineering Electromagnetics is a "classic" book that has been updated for electromagnetics in today's world. It is designed for introductory courses in electromagnetics or electromagnetic field theory at the junior-level, but can also be used as a professional reference. This widely respected book stresses fundamentals and problem solving and discusses the material in an understandable, readable way. Numerous illustrations and analogies are provided to the aid the reader in grasping difficult concepts. In addition, independent learning is facilitated by the presence of many examples and problems.

Reviews:

Hayt and Buck displayed smooth and crystal clear approach in defining the tough topics of engineering electromagnetics. During my junior year, I thought field theory was notoriously the most challenging course in Computer Engineering, but thanks to this incredibly indispensable textbook that turned it to the most interesting subject ever studied. Might as well add that we had a reputable instructor of such a high caliber. Thank you Professor S. Khoury. The simple and direct approaches of the examples/drill exercices paves the systematic steps to solve the end of chapter problems. Thus, compelling you out of sheer thirst to solve more problems as u proceed. Mastering electromagnetics starts from this book. My recommendation is a must to have and to keep, as well. I hope, in this edition, the authors have made the appropiate correction of errata encountered in the previous. However, you can easily isolate and rectify them, given how effectively you mastered your learning from this book.
