Other Types of Robot Actuators

Robots can use other types of actuators such as hydraulic and pneumatic actuators. In the previous section, ac and dc servomotors were explained. In this section hydraulic and pneumatic actuators are explained and a short section that compares the advantages and disadvantages of the electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic actuators is provided.
