Statistical Process Loops

The closed-loop controller has built-in features such as the deviation alarms that allow it to aid in controlling product quality. Quality control personnel can deter­mine the statistical process control limits, and these values can be loaded into the controller as inner and outer deviation alarm points. The process control signal from the controller can also be sent to a recorder and a complete and accurate record of all sensors can be recorded when the product is being manufactured. This information provides a method for the quality of the product to be monitored ' and improved.
