(i) CLEANLINESS -- If the joint is clean you will get good results.

(ii) THE CORRECT SIZE OF SOLDERING IRON.

(iii) THE CORRECT FLUX.

(iv) THE CORRECT SIZE OF SOLDER.

Get all these items correct and dry joints will be a thing of the past.
