Poly-mount, anew mounting hardware, is offered by Toroid Corporation for its toroidal power transformers with power ratings up to 600VA to replace rubber and metal washers. The Poly-mount is made of Polyamide 66, is UL listed under Flammability Class UL94V-2 and consists of two identical parts that are inserted through the center hole of the transformer, forming one integral assembly. It can be easily removed from the transformer. A screw or bolt through the center hole of the Poly-mount securely holds the transformer assembly to the chassis. For more information contact Toroid Corp. of Maryland, 6000 Laurel-Bowie Rd., Bowie, MD 20715, (301) 464-2100, FAX: (301) 464-4657.

BALLco Inc. announces its 22-page 1989 Fall/Winter Electronics Catalog containing kits including automotive, audio, telephone, sports and test equipment. The kits range from beginner to engineer. The catalog is free. For more information con tact BALLco Inc., PO Box 1078, Snellville, GA 30278-1078, (404) 979-5900, FAX: (404) 979-3785. Fast Reply #DD446

A new hand-held test instrument with the capabilities of five separate instruments has been announced by B&K Precision. Called the Test Bench, the Model 388-HD is a 41-range voltmeter/ ammeter/ohmmeter/frequency counter/capacitance tester/logic tester/transistor tester/diode tester/continuity tester.

The Test Bench is packaged in a drop resistant safety yellow case. It features an oversized LCD display for high read ability and is priced at $139. For more information, contact B&K Precision, Maxtec International Corp., 6470 W. Cortland St., Chicago, IL 60635, (312) 889-1448.

Neutrik USA, a division of the Swiss company, Neutrik AG, has introduced a phono connector which eliminates ''grounding'' noise. The new ProFi connectors are made with a ground shell which retracts into the connector body as the signal post is inserted into the phono jack. Since the ground shell makes contact before the signal post, ground is achieved first, eliminating noise. Similarly, when the connector is removed, ground breaks last and again does away with static and noise.

Two types of casings are available: nickel-plated ($17.14/pair) or black chrome ($24.96/pair). They are sold in stereo pairs. For more information, con tact Bill Dorman at Neutrik USA, 1600 Malone St., Millville, NJ 08332, (609) 327-3113, FAX: (609) 825-4804.

UltraAnalog, Inc., offers the dbx A/D Converter IC Set, including the F410

Front-End IC, D20C10 Decimator IC, and the A1520 Precision Resistor Array. This IC set provides 18- to 20-bit resolution and accommodates standard digital audio sampling rates of 32, 44.1 and 48kHz, with signal/noise (S/N) performance up to 114dB.

UltraAnalog also has announced two new D/A converters: the DAC D20400 and the DACD18400. The DAC D20400 is a dual 20-bit unit with 8X oversampling. It includes two complete D/A converters, a stable bipolar reference, a universal serial CMOS/TTL compatible digital interface and two distortion-sup pressing output deglitcher amplifiers. The price is $325.

The DAC C18400 offers 18-bit resolution and converts at 8X oversampling rates. Its price is $265. For more information contact UltraAnalog, Inc., 47747 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539, (415) 657-2227, FAX: (415) 657-4225.

The OPA2107 dual operational amplifier from Burr-Brown provides precision DI-FET performance with the cost and space savings of a dual op amp. Useful in a wide range of precision and low noise analog circuitry, it can also be used to upgrade the performance of designs currently using BIFET type amplifiers.

The OPA2107 is fabricated on a proprietary dielectrically-isolated (DI-FET) process which holds input bias currents to very low levels. The quiescent cur rent is held to under 2.5mA per amplifier. The unit is unity-gain stable and is available in plastic DIP, metal TO-99 and SOIC packages. Industrial and military temperature range versions are available. For further information, con tact Burr-Brown, PO Box 11400, Tucson, AZ 85734, (602) 746-1111, FAX (602) 899-1510.

The Wright Audio P-75 is a 35W/channel vacuum tube power amplifier presented on a 1 1/4-inch-thick solid red oak base. All parts are hand-wired. Sensitivity is 1.3V. Output impedances are 4 and 8-ohm with 16-ohm on special order. Price is $850 with a one year warranty. For more information contact Wright Audio, 308 North New St., Staunton, VA 24401, (703) 886-4307.

ENDECO has introduced the Model 7200 TC Temperature Controlled Desoldering Station. Timed maximum vacuum followed by rapid expulsion of contaminants into a spittoon keeps the internal components free from solder, resin, conformal coating and other contaminants. The unit operates on shop air (40-120 lbs.).

Temperatures are maintained with an on/off controller. The station features a standard ENDECO 3-wire grounded iron with a temperature range of 450-950 °F.

It is 4 x4 x 6inches and has a gold anodized aluminum console. List price is under $350. For more information contact Leads Metal Products, Inc., 5127 E. 65th St., Indianapolis, IN 46220, (317) 251 1231, FAX: (317) 251-1232.
